Coach Bill MacDonald is using his Twitter account to tweet about Meets, Training Sessions and other interesting “stuff”. He can be found @pelhamrunner if you have a Twitter account. We look forward to his insights, thoughts, feelings and wit… From time-to-time, with his permission, we’ll do a tweet-to-blog conversion for the really good “stuff”. Track Season starts in earnest…Please bring us your news…
As you can see from our NOC facilities bookings Calendar (the big turquoise icon on the right hand side), things are busy at the track on an almost daily basis well into June. This means that our Athletes are also involved in many of these events, especially DSBN and CDSBN. We would really like toContinue reading “Track Season starts in earnest…Please bring us your news…”
Mulch to do about Something…
If you don’t have mulch to do tomorrow (Thursday) early evening – 6pm while the athletes are training, we could really use your help to spread the load of mulch that the City of St. Catharines has kindly delivered to us. We’ll need rakes, wheelbarrows and shovels to get the job done quickly, which involvesContinue reading “Mulch to do about Something…”

Thank you to all the Volunteers who have already been at the Club doing facilities, litter and tree branch cleanup. Also, we metContinue reading “A Gentle Reminder…(and a bit more)”

Spring Club/Track Cleanup Volunteers Much Needed
We are asking (we don’t like to use the term “begging”), beseeching you even, to help with Club/Track Spring Cleaning while the athletes train, on either/both Saturday(s) April 14th / 21st. We have scheduled 27 Events this year, that will be using the NOC Facilities, starting on April 24th. The income generated by these eventsContinue reading “Spring Club/Track Cleanup Volunteers Much Needed”
Warning from Greater Regional Environmental Enforcement Division.
We have been informed by this Regional Agency that due to the early Spring and warm, wet conditions, we should expect an unusually large population of Malaysian Toads this year on damp grasslands in particular. Apparently these Toads are not indigenous to the Region, but have gained a foothold after escaping from Food Container ships that (illegally)Continue reading “Warning from Greater Regional Environmental Enforcement Division.”
