Athletics Ontario’s Prep Meet #1 to be held this Sunday January 26
Athletics Ontario’s first Indoor Preparation Meet of 2014 is set to take place at the Toronto Track and Field center this Sunday January 26, beginning at 9:30 am. This meet has attracted experienced international competitors including Gavin Smellie (Flying Angels), and Project Athletics teammates, Shai-Ann Davis and Crystal Emmanuel, all of whom competed at the Moscow World Championships in 2013. The meet will include over 350 competitors and is hosted by Project Athletics Track and Field Program. TJ Lawrence of G-Force TC, the 2013 Ontario 60m Champion and Bolade Ajomale of the Flying Angels and a member of the 4x100m team for Barcelona World Jr. Champs in 2012. Finally, Jason Rogers an athlete from Saint Kitts and Nevis who competed in the 100m in the 2012 London Olympics. Scheduled Event Time: Heats at 11:35am and Final at 2:15 pm
Event: 60m Open Women
Event Highlights: Shai-Anne Davis and Crystal Emmanuel, teammates from Project Athletics and members of the 4x100m team at the World Championships in Moscow will be competing against each other at this meet.

Edward Hayfron of Phoenix Athletics Association, seeded at 8:52.00 in the Open 3000m. Edward is the National Champion in the Youth 1200m, Midget boys 800m Provincial Champion and 2013 Ontario Cross Country Champion and OFSAA XC Junior Silver medalist.
