238.gif The next event on the NTL circuit is the Harry Jerome International Track Classic July 1 at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, B.C. The 2013 edition of Harry Jerome celebrates its 30th anniversary on Canada Day with over 40 Olympians from 12 countries set to compete. Competition begins at noon local time, 3 p.m. eastern time.

Harry Jerome featured athletes include Canadians Aaron Brown, Geoff Harris, Nathan Brannen, Mike Mason, Dylan Armstrong, Melissa Bishop, Jessica Zelinka, Brianne Theisen, and Sultana Frizell.

International stars include Wallace Spearmon, Manteo Mitchell, Duane Solomon, Mary Wineberg and Kathrin Klaas.

This year on Canada’s birthday marks the 30th Anniversary of the Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome International Track Classic – part of the NTL – National Track League series.

It is Canada’s oldest and most prestigious track and field meet that will take place at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, B.C. Click for more.
Jessica Smith eyes repeat Harry Jerome Classic record

All 800-metre runner Jessica Smith will need Monday afternoon at the Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome Track Classic is for the track at Swangard Stadium to take her on another magic carpet ride.

A year ago, the rail-thin 23-year-old from North Vancouver became just the fourth Canadian woman to go under two minutes in what is often called the toughest event in track when she clocked 1:59.86 to win the 800. Click for more.
