The spectacular evening of track & field will serve as the NTLs second stop on the 2013 circuit. Some expected highlights of the evening include Lerone Clarke, the reigning Pan Am and Commonwealth Champion in the 100m, from Jamaica, and Michael Mathieu, 400m runner from the Bahamas who has won Olympic and Pan Am gold in the 4x400m relay. Canadian Olympic athletes lining up on the track include 400m Hurdler, Sarah Wells, 800m runner, Melissa Bishop and 1500m runner, Nathan Brannen. For the first time, Toronto will host an international high school 4×100-metres relay, featuring teams from Canada, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and the United States.
In addition to serving as a showcase of up and coming international high school athletes, the 2013 TITFG will recognize legendary track athletes including Hasely Crawford of Trinidad & Tobago who won gold in the men’s 100-metres at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal.

Cisco Fastest Kid in Ontario – 8 Community Qualifiers Announced
Athletics Ontario is excited to announce 8 free community events across Ontario, which will be used as qualifiers for their quest in “Finding Ontario’s Fastest Kid”. The Fastest Girl and Fastest Boy (must be Ontario residents), aged 11 and under (as of December 31, 2013) from each qualifier will get a spot in the finale, which will take place at the upcoming Toronto International Track & Field Games (TITFG), a spectacular evening of track & field taking place on June 11th at the University of Toronto’s Varsity Centre. The TITFG will also feature a series of high school events designed to showcase Ontario’s next generation of stars as part of over two hours of evening competition in front of over 4,000 fans.
