The Krinos Taste of the Danforth, Canada’s largest street festival, taking place on the Danforth in Toronto August 8-10, has partnered with Athletics Ontario to help break two Guinness World Records! Be part of one, or both. We’ll be setting out to break the record for most people performing the long jump AND the largest tug of war tournament in history. Jump or pull your way to a winning trip to Olympia, Greece!Help support Athletics Ontario, the Canadian Olympic Foundation and young Olympic hopefuls in promoting athletics and supporting development of Ontario-based athletes. There will be commemorative Guinness wristbands for sale with proceeds going to these two organizations.
The Taste of the Danforth Festival is in it’s 21st year and welcomes 1.5 million attendees annually, is set to be bigger and better than ever before with dozens of free activities for visitors of all ages – and of course Food, Food and more Food! Guinness World Records Largest Tug of War Tournament – "We’ve Got A Lot of Pull"
We’re attempting to break the World Record for the largest tug of war tournament with a minimum of 2,000 participants! Do you have pull? You can bring a team of 8, or we’ll assign you to a team. For rules & regulations, click here.
Furthest Standing Long Jump – "Getting a Jump on Olympia"

Volunteers would be invited to a VIP Launch Party on the night prior to the festival – on Thursday, August 7th from 5pm to 9pm. There will be plenty of great food and fun. Volunteers would also have access to the Krinos VIP Hospitality Tent, where complimentary beverages and snacks will be served, which they could visit during the course of the Festival weekend, and bring a friend.
