Athletics Ontario’s Prep Meet #2 to be held Sunday February 9th, 2014.
Toronto (AO) – 2012 Olympian and Canadian record holder for the 5,000m and 10,000m Racewalks, Rachel Seaman, will be participating in the 3000m indoor Racewalk this coming Sunday, February 9th, 2014 at the Toronto Track & Field Centre. There will be over 600 athletes at this meet including 80 men and 33 women in the 1500m race. This meet is hosted by Project Athletics, and more information including the final schedule, performance lists and the technical information can be found at the following link;

Event: 3000m Race Walk
Event Highlight: Rachel Seaman (Peterborough Legion Track Club) is the current 5000m and 10,000m Racewalk Canadian record holder. Rachel looking to break the 3000m Canadian record and is seeded at 12:38.16. Event Highlight: Maja Naruszewicz of Lightning Athletics seeded at 1.74m, and is the highest ranked Canadian junior this season. Devyn Mackenzie of Lightning Athletics and Alexandra Morrow of Saugeen TFC are also among the top-ranked Canadian junior women this season.

Athletes to Watch:
- Paige Nock of the Durham Dragons, Last year’s Athletics Ontario vs Québec 800m winner, will be racing in the 800m this weekend.
- Christine Amertil, 3-time Olympian from the Bahamas who has an outdoor personal best of 50.09 seconds
- Joseph Maxwell, youth Shot Putter was the top-ranked Canadian youth last season.
