The 2013 International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Youth Championships officially gets underway tomorrow in Donetsk, Ukraine. 51 Canadians have travelled to the Ukraine to compete against some of the world’s best and gain competitive experience on the world’s stage.

The 2011 edition of the IAAF World Youth Championships saw three medals for Canada. Two silver medals won by Christian Brennan in the 200 and 400-metres, along with a bronze medal by the girl’s medley relay team.
