I was made aware that one of our athletes came home with ticks after practice. I have left a message with Environmental Health at Niagara Region.
We strongly recommend that kids do not sit in the grass. Yuk!!
If you find a tick on the body, remove with tweezers. Keep the tick in a small container and take it to the Niagara Region Health Department, where it will be identified and tested if necessary.
Wash the bite site with soap and water.
