BARCELONA- Shawnacy Barber of Toronto, Ont., has won Canada’s first medal at the 2012 World Athletics Junior Championships in Barcelona, Spain. Barber won bronze in the boys pole vault in a new Canadian junior record of 5.55-metres. Barber’s outstanding performance today places him second on the Canadian all-time list behind Douglas Wood’s 1991 performance of 5.61-metres. More…
